About me

I have dabbled with pen and paper all my life. I wrote my first story when I was ten, and have tried my hand at poetry. The story behind my young adult fantasy series came to me at the top of an abandoned fire tower in the Black Hills of South Dakota over twenty years ago. After thirty pages, I set it aside to go about the business of living. I decided to breathe life back into those pages. The first book in the series, Tower of Earth, is completed, and the second book, Tower of Sky, is in the editing phase.

Like a typical writer, I’ve been distracted by my current work-in-progress is a dystopian novel called The Contraption which deals with conversion therapy and social injustice. Think The Handmaid’s Tale meets Divergent.

I write a wide variety of flash fiction, including speculative, horror, and retrospective. I belong to several critique groups that help me hone my skills and make me a better writer. For a taste of my work visit my Facebook author page.

On the personal side, I’ve had some significant accomplishments in my life: I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Engineering and a Journeyman Electrician License. I have two handsome boys, two cats who rule the house, and a Corgi who is at their mercy.
